Vision du Monde is an NGO that helps the most vulnerable children in the world. It fights against the root causes of poverty and injustice through 15 development programs, with an average duration of 10 years. These long-term actions favor the transfer of skills to make families autonomous. Vision du Monde also responds to emergencies and carries out advocacy actions.

Goals : Promote reading as a social and cultural activity not only practiced in school with teachers but also in the family and in the village with volunteers.
This program acts:
• Children (ages 6-11) to strengthen literacy and classroom reading skills.
• On teacher training for new methods of teaching reading.
• Through the establishment of extra-curricular activities organized by the community: reading clubs, traveling libraries, family awareness workshops, organization of reading competitions between schools to increase the participation of children in community and home literacy activities.
Number of beneficiaries : Nearly 34 000 children aged 6 to 11, 700 teachers trained, 2 200 trained volunteers and 1 110 sensitive parents over 3 years.
